A newbie's view4
A good read. The synopsis above gives a good picture of the content. Lacking is advice on getting to use the features systematically on an easy gradient, I am still stumbling slowly trying to get comfortable with the programme's features. The very nature of the 'Second Life game' means that there is almost infinite variety with the users continually creating the environment so there is only so much that can be explained in a book. So buy the book but be prepared to master the features on your own 'need to know' basis. The email address given bounced a message I sent. The web address given on its web page for the list of links did not work but I was able to see what it was supposed to be and then access the links page. A minor problem. Size for size it is comparable value to the Official Guide.

how to write a medium selling book while drunk most of the time2
I was somewhat disappointed with this book as I expected it to be full of tips on how to get completely smashed out of your head and still attempt to appear as if you know what you are doing. But perhaps the author will attend to that with their next book. If he isn't too busy spending time in police cells that is.
