Great player considering the cost
Just got one of these players for £60 although I notice the price has gone up slightly. We are going to use it for our 2 year old daughter to watch, and am very impresed with the quality for the price.

It's a little 'plasticky' but for the money for not all bad. The great thing about this player is that is 'multi region' there is a little card in the box that tells you how to unlock the regions.

Picture quality is not bad at all, if I'm being very fussy the very botom of the screen is a little lighter than the rest of the screen due to the back lighting.

The sound from the speakers is nothing to write home about but with a decent pair of headphones it's pretty good.

There is no AV input but that's no big deal for us as we are not game players.

Also plays DIVx & MP3's.

The shock protection seems not too bad at all and normal handling will not have it skiping.

As it's so cheap I have no worries about taking it out and about with is, bonus!

So a thumbs up for a nice cheap little DVD player

Pocket DVD Player for Pocket Money
I bought this portable to put an end to the constant 'are we there yet?' noise that echoes on long car journey's, all I can say is if you too would like to stop your ears bleeding, then this is the cheapest remedy!
Its more than half the price of a player that my brother bought and 100% better as the battery is built into the portable's compact design. It seems to last forever too as it still had life in it after a 2 hour journey and it came with an in car charger, which hasn't even been used yet.

akai dvd player is superb
This portable dvd player with in built 2 hour battery is excellent. It comes with instructions so you can make it region free, plays audio cd's and of course dvd's. The picture quality is amazing and it even comes with a little remote control (including battery no less!)as well as being able to perform all those functions on the dvd player itself. This is a great portable player with adapter, headphones etc, and its a price you can't go wrong with.
