Amazon.co.uk Review
Many and varied are the guides to achieving a better sex life and (truth be told) which of us do not feel there is something we might learn in this arena? With Supersex, Tracey Cox has created something rather different in the overcrowded field of sex manuals. Apart from being a rather handsomely designed piece of work (garnished, of course, with the requisite number of intertwining naked bodies), Cox avoids either the po-faced seriousness of some sex manuals or the relentless facetiousness of others: she comes up with a sane, humorous and very human approach to a subject that concerns us all.
Democratically, Cox addresses the sexual needs of both men and women (although, surprisingly, the book inclines more to the former than the latter) and lays out in frank, systematic prose the perfect approach to attaining that transfiguring bedroom experience. Needless to say, not everything here is orgasm-fixated; the author is committed to increasing our sensuality and sensitivity, and the book's strongest sections (such as that on oral sex) have subtlety as well as eroticism. The beautiful models (male and female) are not difficult to look at either, although few of us look like these firm-bodied Adonises (but we can dream, can't we?). The illustrations are generally more discreet than we are used to these days, which is a surprise. Nevertheless, this is a worth a dozen of its rival volumes on the sex-help shelves. About time you spruced up your sexual technique? There's now a Dorling Kindersley book that can help you do just that. --Barry Forshaw

Customer Reviews
Yes... Yes... Yessss!
Anyone who's seen Tracey Cox in her role as flirting and body language expert on BBC2's Would Like To Meet will know that she's the cheekiest, classiest and cleverest adviser on sex and relationships on the planet.
Which means it is no surprise at all that Supersex is the cheekiest, classiest and cleverest sex manual you can find on the shelves today.
Having read her previous books, Hot Sex, and Hot Relationships (both screamingly funny and fantastically informative), I was wondering whether she'd be able to come up with anything new to say on the subject - but she has, of course, and it's packaged in one of the most beautifully-designed and illustrated paperbacks I've ever seen. It's a sensual treat for the eyes, even before you get down to the content.
With chapter titles such as "Be a penis genius", you know you're in Tracey Cox territory right from the start, and, like the lovers she writes about, she never disappoints.
As one of her playthings in Would Like To Meet (no girlfriends for 12 years and still, er, inexperienced at 41) I never dreamed I would be reading or reviewing a book like this. But Tracey sat on my sofa and told me: "Don't worry, you'll be having sex soon."
A year later, all I'm prepared to say is that her book has suddenly become relevant, and I'm working my way through it with enthusiasm!
Tracey is a born communicator and uses humour with abandon. Even if you live alone in a monastery, you'd get a lot of pleasure out of merely reading this book.
Tracey's insights into the male mind are frighteningly accurate (her degree in psychology wasn't wasted) and she doesn't just cover the exciting bits, but addresses the problems that can hit relationships, both in and out of the bedroom.
This is a feel-good book that will improve your love-life and have you laughing out loud in bed. And who can ask for better than that?
An Excellent Read
I found this book to be excellent, really well written and very witty. My one and only complaint was that there wasn't enough new ideas for me to try, although the book was visually very pleasing and certainly some of the factual information she presented was fascinating (Portrait of a Cheat, How to be a Penis Genius, etc). A very good book, I'd recommend reading it, but not enough new ideas!
Supersex
I bought this when I embarked on a new relationship, having been in one that was almost asexual for 8 years.
It was easy to read - not patronising or coy like a couple of books I've read.
It is also an attractive book. Nice layout, beautiful photographs.
I found it honest and helpful.
For anyone who doesn't have a lot of experience - or who would like some clarification on some aspects of sex - I'd say it would be helpful.
