Sturdy yet highly manuverable
I like this Monopod a great deal; the clips are sturdy, hold well, and yet are not too much of a struggle to unclip - they can be adjusted with the tool provided. The weight of the monopod means that with care, it's possible to get a steady image even at quite low light levels, and I've even been able to use this successfully at night, which I haven't been able to do with light-weight, flimsier monopods.

I teamed this with the quick release head, and am glad I did so; the benefits of using a monopod over a tripod are the maneuverability and portability, so having to screw in and unscrew the camera each use could be tedious, and would certainly negate some of those benefits.

The monopod isn't small, and won't fit into the average camera bag; I find it's not too heavy to carry round all day, and as mentioned the weight helps even out some camera-shake, but if weight and size is an issue, this may not be the model monopod for you. As a side benefit however, I must admit that the size and weight makes me feel much happier about carrying my camera around strange cities, and it has been nicknamed 'The Shillelagh'!
