Very Fast - But Watch Out For Fakes
I use this card for my Sony Alpha A350, and I've never encountered speed issues because of it. No regrets.
One warning I would offer is to buyers who see this card (or others like it) on Amazon Marketplace at a price that's too good to be true. Chances are, it is. I originally purchased this from an unknown seller, and found the speed to be lacking.
Although the packaging and the card were rather convincing, I suspected it was a fake, so I checked with Sandisk. Sure enough, it was. I soon returned it and bought the genuine article from Amazon.
If your Extreme IV seems slow, if it doesn't come shrink-wrapped, if it seems at all suspicious - call Sandisk. They can verify its genuineness by checking photos of it.
Sandisk Extreme IV vs III
Does the job efficiently without fuss. Not sure, however, if Extreme 4 is much better than Extreme 3 in terms of 'real-world'(as opposed to theoretical) write times. Marketing to encourage upgrade to latest memory certainly worked with me but my view after trying it is that perhaps the better option is to go with the previous model at a bargain price. The Sandisk brand has not let me down in shooting thousands of photos at semi-professional level but hard not to get a little cynical with the overuse of 'super', 'ultimate', 'ultra' 'extreme' etc - can't think what word is left for the next model!
Poor Dealer Experience & Now Faulty Card
This card was ordered from Amazon but supplied by Purely Gadgets. They delivered the wrong card which had to be returned to obtain the corect replacement. Now the card has developed a fault and images cannot be viewed. My camera shows an error message saying that the external media is faulty.
