A good camera - I got body only as I wanted to get a good prime (fixed length) lens and get a better quality mid-zoom lens than the ones offered; great a camera with 6.5 frames per second on burst...

A super-wide angle - great for taking pictures inside rooms, close up to tall buildings, landscapes and really funky close-ups of people - expensive perhaps but covers the rage below the mid-zooms...

I looked at loads of bags - there's no way top avoid it - you need to pay £50+ to get a decent bag to protect your gear -this is brillant; functional and comfortable with lots of space!

I've rented this - it's a big lens but wonderful - I suspect i'll be sticking to cropped bodies for a while so this will no doubt be an addition sometime (opted for the 24-105mm L for now)

Arrived today - dirt cheap and great - with a tripod/gorillapod you can slow down the shutter speed and get more light in your pictures without blur (same as using the timer but greater control)

When people say this adds a whole new dimention they're not wrong - I despised using flash and losing the 'mood' previously - this can help create so many beautiful pictures - remote trigger on way...
