A true miracle of words
It is not very often we come across a book that says so much about who we are and why we are here. The error in perception, the illusion of separation, and why there is no such thing as guilt and sin are all central to its theme, and yet there is so much more. The wording of the text is almost biblical in tone, but such is the strength of its message it cannot fail to inspire those who open its pages. If you are genuine in your desire to understand the true meaning of your existence, including the cause of all your pain and suffering, then this really is the beginning of a journey that will change your life forever.

`Truth is restored to you through your desire, as it was lost to you through your desire for something else. Open the holy place that you closed off by valuing the "something else," and what was never lost will quietly return.'

It is a truly inspirational book without comparison. My only advice is that you take your time and understand the true depth of its message.

A Course in Life
A Course in Miracles is the most powerful work that I have come across to help us bring about real spiritual progress in ourselves. It works by carefully deprogramming dogma and rigid belief, gradually teaching how to let go of perceptions and see truth.

It's easy to get discouraged with it, because it can be very difficult to take in what the book is saying, but if you persist, gradually you find your way of thinking has changed, and you are living more freely and seeing the world quite differently.

It is broken down into three sections. There's the text, the workbook and finally the manual for teachers. The first time I studied it, I read the text and did the daily exercises in the workbook together. That took a little over a year, because some of the exercises I did for more than a day each. Now, I just dip into it at random, and it always yields help in my work as a healer and spiritual teacher.

When people ask me which one book would I recommend above all others for people on the spiritual path, this is it.

The book that changes lives
When I first got this book, it was sitting on the shelf for about five years before I was in the right state of mind to begin working with it. When I did finally get to working with it, I was faced with a problem out of which I had no clue how to get out, so I gave my best shot to this book. I was totally, wholeheartedly committed to working with it and the results paid off beyond my wildest dreams. I have read many helpful book in my lifetime, but none has such a profound and lasting effect as this one.

Working with A Course in Miracles never ends, but the most dramatic changes I have experienced were during that first year, when my perception and experience of the world turned on its head and the world, my relationship to it, my experience of the world, has permanently changed.

It's been 11 years since that time, but A Course in Miracles is still alive and well in my mind.

There are people who have picked this book, invested half-hearted attempt in working with it and who got seemingly nothing out of it. Unless you're willing to invest yourself wholeheartedly in working with A Course in Miracles, it's unlikely you'll experience the promises of the book.

Sometimes people join groups and go on asking others for advice as to how they should work with this book. All the instructions are in this book. There is no one on the outside who will help you to get through the Course. This is an inner journey and to travel it successfully, you have to be willing to travel deep within - not with parts of you holding onto the outer world. Only when you are completely willing to drop the outside, will you make it to the other side, in this inner journey. The treasures are hidden deep within. Dive in and discover the wonders that are hidden within you.
