Customer Reviews

A beautiful book if a little hard going4
Well, what a wordsmith Wilmhurst is. This book to me was a great read and communicated WLW's personal experience and journey he undertook in masonry.
I am not sure whether a non-mason would find the book that interesting as it doesnt seek to sensationalise the craft or offer the expose secrets or cliam an alternative history.
The book simply looks at the philosophical and spiritual aspects of freemasonry as they were experienced by Wilmhurst.
Well worth the effort

Good book, not for the faint hearted.3
This book looking into the deeper meanings of freemasonry was, to say the least, a little hard going. Saying that though once you got your head around the old english, and long words it did hold some little gems of knowledge and some good ideas.

I would recommend this book for reading, but only so long as you enjoy reading and are willing to work at it. I would say borrow this book first and then buy it if you like it...

In my opinion there are newer books on the market that hold the same if not more information, that are easier to read and understand.
