Customer Reviews

Is it full of mistakes or it's just me?!!1
I look at myself as an intermediate JavaScript web developer, yet I am struggling with this book. To be honest, I mainly bought this book for it's 'real-life practical examples' - and to be fair it's has a nice layout for a JS book, which I like. Apart from that, it's a pain in the neck, I'm half the way through, and still can't get most of the codes to work. I keep testing and modifying, but it's like logging a dead horse...never works. Then, I go...OK...let me type the exact code including the html as shown in the book...yet, nothing works.

I came across countless number of mistakes, which incredibly are not referred to in the errata on the book website.

The book is pretentious, lacks clear explanation(it feels like the writers are talking to themselves), and their attempts to implement modern concepts/codes in JavaScript, makes things even worse.

The books is not for a newbie of course...or on second thought, the book is for nobody...really! If you wanna keep your understanding of JavaScript intact and your coding clean, DON'T BUY IT!
