Students tell me they like the layout, plenty of diagrams and illustrations that help bring bring the concepts to life. The secret of the book's success is that it is so versatile - it can either be read cover to cover as the definitive management textbook, or it can be used as a reference work, enabling students to dip into relevant sections as required."

"I recommend Mullins because of its readability and straightforward style. This is very important when teaching multicultural classes where English is not their first language."
David Wilson, Hogeschool INHolland, The Netherlands
"I recommend Mullins because of its depth of coverage of topics which I consider central to management and OB, and in particular for its focus on leadership. The book encourages students to form their own conclusions by considering multiple points of view and brings clarity to this often complex subject by avoiding jargon and technical terminology."

Customer Reviews
Very helpful
I purchased this book because it was recommended by a tutor as a good accompaniment for a course I was taking in management studies. Personally I find management studies mind-numbing and was only taking this course to propel me onto a course I really wanted to do in library studies. So the kind of book I needed was one that wouldn't send me into a coma but would explain what I needed to know about management studies in plain English. That's exactly what I got in this book. It's a text book that is well thought-out, easy to read and a great reference book for anything to do with management or organizing a business. It helped me ace my exams in management studies and has been pulled out again for this years HR Management modules of my information & library studies course.
One of the best texts on the subject
First remember that this is generally a textbook. It does reference a lot of other work and it is not really designed for you to sit and read straight-through, but on that note it is one of the best collections of OB material anywhere. Only the Stephen P Robbins text can match this, and that is very US-centric.
management and organisational behaviour
This is an excellent and very readable summary of much of the management and organisational behaviour theory that has been written over the last few decades. One of its main strengths is that it acts as a tremendous synopsis of this vast body of material. I have found this book exceptionally helpful, and of immediate use in my professional life.
