Average customer review:Product Description
Shiatsu is a healing art which uses the power of touch and pressure to enable us to find our own self-healing capabilities. The therapy involves using fingers, thumbs, hands, elbows, knees and feet to stimulate the body's energy points. This text covers aspects of this healing art, the origins of which date back nearly 3000 years. It covers the practical aspects of Shiatsu, from the full-body treatment to advice on exercise and self-help measures. It is fully illustrated with colour photographs throughout, and each step of Shiatsu treatment is shown in sequence for ease of use.

Customer Reviews
Comprehensive, yet delightfully comprehensible!
Elaine Liechti has done a wonderful job of sharing her passion and knowledge of shiatsu. This book is a complete, concise, yet easy-to-understand introduction to shiatsu; what it is, the history, the different schools of shiatsu, the basic principles, and how to do it. The book is well structured and has lots of diagrams, photos and illustrations to capture your interest. This book is certainly the most comprehensive and comprehensible book on shiatsu I have seen. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in shiatsu.
