	Goldfinger by John Barry Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £3.21 Goldfinger (1964) Composer: John Barry. While Shirley Bassey sings the ultimate theme to the ultimate Bond movie, Barry is on fine form, especially on "Into Miami".
	Thunderball by John Barry Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £3.21 Thunderball (1965) Composer: John Barry. Sweeping underwater themes make this one of the best. Tom Jones apparently fainted hitting his final note on the title song.
	You Only Live Twice by John Barry Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £4.15 You Only Live Twice (1967) Composer: John Barry. One of the most beautiful scores, thanks to its Oriental setting. Nancy Sinatra does a fine job on the title song.
	On Her Majesty's Secret Service by Louis Armstrong Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £9.40 On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) Composer John Barry. The best Bond score ever. Barry's title theme is stunning. Louis Armstrong crops up midway through the movie.
	Diamonds Are Forever Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.49 Diamonds are Forever (1971) Composer: John Barry. A classy score featuring Shirley Bassey's second title song. One of the best themes of the series.
	Live And Let Die by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £4.37 Live and Let Die (1973) Composer: George Martin. The former Beatles producer's only Bond score and one filled with funky '70s style. Mr & Mrs Macca belt out a cracking rock song.
	The Man With The Golden Gun Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £1.99 The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) Composer: John Barry. The Oriental setting is reminiscent of You Only Live Twice. Lulu's theme tune is packed with innuendo. Hilarious and stunning. Very Bond.
	The Spy Who Loved Me by Original Soundtrack Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £1.49 The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) Composer Marvin Hamlisch. Lush themes to match the epic locations, a '70s Bond theme update and Carly Simon's beautiful theme song.
	Moonraker by John Barry Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £4.48 Moonraker (1979) Composer: John Barry. The space setting inspires some gorgeous, sweeping themes. Shirley Bassey is on hand for her third classy theme song.
	For Your Eyes Only by Bill Conti Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £3.19 For Your Eyes Only (1981) Composer: Bill Conti. Suitably camp offering from the Broadway composer. Sheena Easton's title song turned her into an '80s superstar.
	Octopussy Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £3.77 Octopussy (1983) Composer: John Barry. Dramatic score from Barry, his 9th of the series. Tim Rice provides lyrics for Rita Coolidge's title tune.
	James Bond - A View To A Kill Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.92 A View to a Kill (1985) Composer: John Barry. Many of Octopussy's themes return for this soundtrack. Duran Duran's title song gave Bond his only US chart-topper.
	James Bond - The Living Daylights Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £6.95 The Living Daylights (1987) Composer: John Barry. Barry's final Bond score. a-ha provide the title tune while the Pretenders supply a lush end title theme that's worth a listen.
	Licence to Kill by Various Artists Buy new: £2.98 / Used from: £1.40 Licence to Kill (1989) Composer: Michael Kamen. A cracking score from Kamen and a beautiful theme from Gladys Knight. Patti LaBelle provides the end title tune, later covered by Celine Dion.
	GoldenEye by Éric Serra Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £9.33 GoldenEye (1995) Composer Eric Serra. A disappointing, mechanical soundtrack. Tina Turner's title song (composed by U2's Bono & The Edge) is fine but Serra's end title song is flat.
	Tomorrow Never Dies: Original Soundtrack [SOUNDTRACK] by David Arnold Buy used from: £2.79 Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) Composer: David Arnold. Thank goodness for David Arnold! The spirit of John Barry lives on with a modern twist. Sheryl Crow's title song is a little formulaic though.
	The World Is Not Enough by David Arnold Buy new: £15.69 / Used from: £1.88 The World is not Enough (1999) Composer: David Arnold. Some great, atmospheric, sweeping themes. Garbage's theme tune tries too hard to sound Bond-esque though.
	Die Another Day [Enhanced] by David Arnold Buy new: £10.88 / Used from: £1.58 Die Another Day (2002) Composer David Arnold. Some of Arnold's best music (especially on "Welcome to Cuba"). Madonna's theme lets the side down though.
	Casino Royale OST by David Arnold Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £4.99 Casino Royale (2006) Composer: David Arnold. A great soundtrack but sadly lacking Chris Cornell's blistering theme song.
	Quantum of Solace Buy used from: £5.67 Quantum of Solace (2008) Composer: David Arnold. Arnold's 5th consecutive Bond soundtrack. Once again the title tune (by Jack White & Alicia Keys) is missing.

The most up-to-date compilation, from the John Barry 7's James Bond theme to Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" (Casino Royale). Essential.
