Great for disco afficionados
I stumbled across this record by chance. I already have an extensive collection of disco records, yet this CD offers 12 great tracks, all but one of which I didn't already have.

No fillers, no 80s groove things; as the cover says this really is authentic 70s underground disco. Highlights include Goody Goody's Number 1 Dee Jay, and also of considerable interest is Stargard's "Wear it out" which was recently sampled by Pete Heller's "Big Love", a dance hit in the UK.

This CD probably wouldn't be appreciated by those who are still discovering the more mainstream disco stuff (e.g. Donna Summer, Chic), but is nevertheless a fantastic compilation for those already well into disco.

Bloody great. The real deal that takes you back to those heady days of disco (the real days of Disco, where black danced with white, gay with straight, when money was short. Life, school & work was a drudge & disco became the weekly beacon of light & love. Does anyone remember Radio Luxemburg... "1439 Big L, the funk frequency"? Well it's back with this disc. Not many hits here, no Village People (phew!)... but bus-loads of those nearly forgotten floor fillers, panache, style, flair(s). Classics all.
