Brenda's music really is So Good
On a web page that featured a biography on Brenda Russell's, the author described her voice as being "one that caresses like melted caramel". They are absolutely correct, and I can find no better way to describe Brenda's singing.

I was first introduced to the joy of Ms Russell's music upon seeing the music video for the song "Piano In The Dark" on VH1 Classics. I became hooked on Brenda's voice instantly, craving more of her music. Within no time I'd bought this album.

So Good, So Right: The Best of Brenda Russell is one of the finest CD Compilations of songs I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. Each track is filled with an amazing quality that is extremely rare in today's music.

After listening to the album in full for the first time, I found there was not one track I either disliked or felt was weak. True I like some songs better than others, but the whole album, over all, is nothing but pure class and some of the best smooth jazz I have ever heard.

As for the songs themselves, my own personal favourites are "Piano In The Dark", "Le Restaurant", "If Only For One Night", and "Get Here". All are stunningly beautiful melodies, which allow Brenda's amazing voice to shine.

I highly recommend So Good, So Right: The Best of Brenda Russell to any fans of jazz, romantic songs, or just good quality original music. It's most certainly a CD well worth owning regardless.
