'Classic 80's Soul/Funk And Their Best Album'
Originally released in 1982, 'All Night Long' was Starpoint's third album release and for lovers of the heavy bass 80's soul funk sound it's an absolute classic. Not only does the album include their long sought after in the U.K track 'Bring Your Sweet Lovin' Back', (a totally dynamite, bass burbling funky dancer) but it's the bands most complete album too. Best of all is the title track an absolutely KILLER mid tempo nagger that features some truly amazing vocals by (the sadly late) Renee Diggs and the cd is worth buying for this track alone! Elsewhere, 'Get Your Body Up' and 'I Like It' are both good up-tempo dancers in the style of "Bring Your Sweet Lovin' Back' that will delight 80's funk heads. 'Show Me' is a little less essential but is still a good rock tinged dancer (sadly the band would veer more towards a rock style later in their career) while 'I Can Give You Love' is a great male sung mid-tempo ballad (again with a nice hook). The two remaining tracks 'Miracle Love' and the duet 'It's You' are also solid album cuts and so, not only does this record work as an album listen, there really isn't a duff song on the whole album. If you buy just one Starpoint album in your life make it this one!
