This album popped out of nowhere.Mikelyn made some good records when she sang with the RnB trio By All Means.I had heard nothing of her since.
This is a fine peace of neo (whatever that means) soul containing some nice latin influenced jazzy tracks mixed with a couple of ballads (one guesting Rahaan Patterson)on an old Stevie Wonder classic.Mikelyn's vocals hint at Anita Baker in parts but also Corrine Bailey rae in others-two very reliable references!
A solid set worthy of your consideration-hope the follow up comes round a bit sooner Ms.Roderick!A very nice CD which has remained popular in urban soul circles.
