Customer Reviews
NOT UP TO SCRATCH
The Jazzmasters series moves on and with a great album cover the anticipation of this album was high. What a disappointment! Firstly only 11 songs so hardly good value and to be honest the quality of the songs is dropping off compared to the other albums. OK they sound similar, but that's fine as we love Paul's grooves, but I felt too many songs here are mediocre and a rejig of previous melodies we have heard before ZZZZZZZZz.
Not worth buying
Not bad at all
I don't quite know why I keep buying Jazzmasters albums, but somehow I do and I'm never disappointed. Apart from the cover of Children Of The Ghetto by Chris Amos (whoever he might be), which is pretty ghastly and which doesn't seem to fit at all with the rest of the album, this one's about as good as any to have gone before it.
As with past albums, it's all easy going bumpalong smooth grooves, mostly instrumental, that go down very nicely on a sunny summer day. Whilst none of the tracks here is likely to quicken your pulse, neither will any of them do anything to spoil your mood. Chill out, go with the flow and enjoy. I like it.
