'Good But Not Great'
'It's All Yours' was the album that saw the turning point in Starpoint's career. From here on in, their albums would become gradually more American sounding and tapered to fit American radio. For U.K funk fans and devotees of their 'Bring Your Sweet Lovin' Back' sound the title track of this album would prove to be one of the last of the bands classics. Frustratingly even here though, the track was much better in its extended 12" form (not featured here). So what do you get with 'It's All Yours'? You get an 80's sounding soul/funk album that borders on the commercial side but never quite goes the whole hog. Aside from the title track, 'Am I still The One' is a great ballad (if a little 80's cheesey in the lyrical department), 'Satisfy Me Lover' and 'Breakout' (The other U.S R&B hit from the album) a couple of good but unexceptional funky dancers and a cod reggae song in 'Send Me A Letter'. There are no extra tracks on this re-release either which is a shame and so there are just 8 tracks. All in all, it's not a bad listen but for the bands best album buy 'All Night Long'.
