Algebra CD Review
Purpose

Record producer Kedar Massenburg, known for bringing to the music world Erykah Badu and D'Angelo now introduces another impressive artist to the soul music scene, Algebra Blessett and her debut release titled Purpose.

The album starts off the pleasant acoustic sound of "At This Time" which lets you know that the album is going to be an hour of fine music.

"Halfway", "Run & Hide" and "U Do It For Me" continue the excellent vibe that Algebra displays on this album. "(ABC 1,2,3's) Happy After" has a nice classic soul feel, "(Holla Back) Simple Complication" brings that sound that would make it go down well in any club and "What Happened" is a slow tempo track which is accompanied with a rock-style guitar sound.

The remaining songs on this CD are fine standard & quality that make this a fine debut from Algebra including the tracks "Can I Keep You", "Tug Of War" which again is a nice lively & bouncy song with its modern R&B feel and the last song "Now & Then" like the first track has an pleasant acoustic feel.

This CD for me is one of the fine debuts of 2008; I think we'll be hearing more of Ms Blessett in the future. If you like your music soulful I would highly recommended this CD.

what a purchase. i think that this is the best purchase i have made in the past few months, and think that woman like this should be be played out of every speaker at least once. Algebra,.... Wow. woth every penny. played track, after track and was impressed.
