portable dvd carry bag
my intention was to purchase a carry bag for a 10 inch portable dvd player

after reading this bags description, i thought the sizes given would be adequate, however on receiving this product it was evident that the dvd player was too big, and this bag was returned

most portable dvd players are 7 or 8 inches, which would happily fit inside this carry bag.

having a 10 inch portable dvd player is unusual and is classed as extra large, i have since found an extra large carry bag

Good product for price
I bought the larger case for my 7" dvd player but I think I could have got away with the smaller one which may have been a little more secure when fastened in. All in all though a good product and does its job.

Design flaws
I bought this bag to use with our 7" Sony dvpx730 portable dvd player (even though it says that its for larger screen models) as I needed more room in the bag to store the leads and headphones.

Whilst it copes well on the storage front, the main problem is with the way in which the bag is designed to be held in the car suspended between the two front seats.

If you set it up as advised then the case and player will not sit open at 90 degrees no matter what you try to do. This is because the more you tighten the two side tensioners the more the case tends to close! The best and safe compromise we got was about 80 degrees and that was only achievable because our player is smaller than recommended! I have no doubt that if you have a 9 or 10" player then you'll be lucky to achieve this so bear it in mind before purchasing.

I'm sure there are better designed systems out there but for the budget price it does a passable job for us.
