White Xmas
It's a really good movie. One of the old american classics, and I can recomend it to anybody, who didn't see it. And you don't have to wait till Xmas do it!

Sheer nostalgia!
There are films that are more sophisticated, there are films that are not so 'cheesy' as the common parlance goes; however, White Christmas feeds our senses in more ways than one - The songs are par-less, the singing tuneful, in key and, guess what? you can understand all the words! The dancing and the set pieces remind us how we are often cheated by film and TV with under-nourished entertainment. Not all is rosy however - you might say that Bing Crosby is too old to be the leading man in this story but then you hear the singing voice and Bing is forgiven; when Danny Kaye is directing rehearsals and you hear him say "OK kids, we'll take a break" you look at the age of the assembled dancers and think "actually, they're not Kids at all!". Yes, the whole idea is sentimental but somehow we're rooting for the retired General to feel better about his lot in life and when the snow comes down for real outside the Lodge, we breathe a collective sigh. I understand that in general this film's attraction and relevance by subject matter is restricted to the weeks of Advent leading up to and including Christmas but don't let that stop your enjoyment of Vera Ellen dancing up a storm with those legs that go on forever in 'Mandy' and feel relieved for womankind that Rosemary Clooney didn't diet away her curves,just break out the chocolate, sit back and enjoy!

white christmas is for everyone
Ihav'nt seen white christmas in years so when i got the dvd i new i was in for a treat. It was worth the wait to see the snow and christmas tree together is was spectacular we dont get snow on christmas day anymore so watch this film on christmas day and you will get into the christmas mood.
