Comfortable but construction has some weaknesses
This is a comfortable shoe. It is very lightweight and ideal for everyday use. However, I think it is not as well constructed as other Karrimor shoes. The mesh trim on the outside of the shoe tears easily in normal use (I'm a walker not a runner!) which has made my pair look very tatty very quickly. In fact, I have resorted to cutting all the mesh off, before it falls off!

These Shoes aren't made for Walking!
On arrival the shoes appeared good enough, if a bit garish. However as mentioned by a previous reviewer, they are not very well constructed or finished. I have only used them for walks around town, and I can't see anyone getting much life out of them in the countryside.
After a week I had the superglue out, going around the edges of the soles, where they already were beginning to come away. And the scissors to snip away all the loose threads from the uppers. The second week the plastic struts on the plastic mesh sections of the shoe started to peel away, and part of the mesh split. Rather than cutting it away I again resorted to superglue to stick the mesh down and build up a layer of glue on the break. Since then I've had a bigger horizontal split in the plastic mesh on the second shoe, which I've also superglued. This plastic mesh is a substandard material for shoes, it just isn't up to the job. The shoes came with Footwear Care Info, which stated "with care Karrimor Footwear will look after you with years to come" Not these ones though! The shoes also came with a free whistle/compass, the aforementioned superglue and pair of scissors would have been more useful. Even for the price these are close to being the most inadequate pair of shoes I've ever bought! I don't think I'd risk buying the brand again!
