Great DVD but.........4
As an ice skater myself, I would want to see the original Olympic or World Championship performances that won our great stars their titles. The show versions lack all the tension and drama of the originals when our young skaters were simply hoping they'd win. I expect T&D would tell us the show versions are more polished but that isn't sufficient compensation.

So only 4 stars, no matter the brilliance of the skating.

What I need now is a DVD of championship performances of our greatest winners - Jayne & Chris, John Curry, Robin Cousins and any others further back if recordings exist.

more bronze than golden2
I bought this to replace my well-worn VHS collections, hoping that the quality and performances would be the best possible. Sadly, they're not. Some of the routines (Barnum, Mack & Mabel etc) are from original competition footage so are great but others, like Bolero and Let's Face the Music are from T&D's Let's Face The Music Tour (which appeared on video ten years ago) and come replete with awful lighting, half-dead audience and distracting camerawork which, for me at least, all but ruins the majesty of these routines. I can only assume that the people who put this together didn't fancy the cost of securing the rights from competitons. Bolero, for example, has none of the atmosphere (nor Chris' famous splits!) of the 1984 version so is a big let down. And where are other true classic performances like their Song Of India routine which they performed as professionals? Looks like I'll be hanging on to my fuzzy old videos a little longer!

depends what your after3
I got this for the Olympic Bolero performance. Unfortunately, despite the picture on the back for bolero being in the olympic arena the included routine was in fact an edited piece performed more or less in the dark with blue and red lighting for "mood" and shot by Jamie Oliver's cameraman!!!
The same naff arty style was also used for the Rhumba, and the Let's Face the Music routines.

Mack and Mabel, Barnum, and the Paso Doble are all original sports coverage Golden Moments however.
