What has happened to Timberland?2
Have had several pairs of Timberland Classic Boat shoes in the past, absolutely swore by them. Comfortable, hard wearing and looked good. Unfortunately the last pair I bought are so uncomfortable that, within a few hours, my feet are aching. Soles of shoes seem to be made of some type of very hard, cheap, plastic material. Leather is not of the same quality as on my previous pairs. For the price of these shoes I expect a lot better!

Not the quality they used to be....1
I have worn Timberland deck shoes for over twenty years. Unfortunately, the last pair i purchased (just over a year ago)were of such poor quality that the leather tore away from the stiching at the front of the shoe. Like the previous reviewer stated, the quality of leather, the thinner, softer soles and the general quality of the construction has deminished over the years. I won't be buying from Timerland again. I suggest potential buyers compare these with Sebago - which are of much superior quality and for a similar price. Timberland RIP.
