Good photos, abismal photo response
I can't fault the quality of the photos that this camera gives, they're crisp and deep and all that, however, I feel that I have to give this just the one star for one good reason - its reaction time:

It takes about 4 seconds from when you turn it on to when you can take a photo - and when you press the shutter, it takes about 3 seconds before it actually takes the photo - useless when you are trying to take an action shot or when you have a small child. Be warned.

I'm getting rid of mine because I can't bear that reaction time - I'll revert back to my Fuji F440 for now which reacts in about half a second.

1st class camera and amazing price
Hi I had a Pentax optio w30 and I hated it, it was soooo slow taking pictures so I sold it and bought this.
Its about half the price of the optio but twice as good, the picture quality is great, the speed it takes pictures is very good (about 1.5-2 seconds on auto settings) the touch screen is pretty good too, you get a stylus type thing for it but for the most part you can use your fingers as its extremely well set out and simple to use, occasionally the response when viewing the pictures can be a little slow but apart from that no worries.

As for the world guide on the camera, well....id delete it infact I did, I had a quick look, it wasn't very good and bizarrely all the included pictures were slightly blurred, I'm not marking it down for that though because as far as I'm concerned its a piece of pointless software they included that takes up half the generous inbuilt memory and has not allot to do with the camera.

Seriously if this camera had been twice the price id still be happy with it, a complete bargain and 5 stars all the way from me
