Spiral magic
This 160-page book with CD-Rom shows you a beautiful way to quilt by an award-winning quilt designer. Learn the basic techniques of creating a spiral with four exciting variations. In addition, find out how to change direction, choose colours and fabrics for your quilt. Five complete projects are given plus an inspiring gallery of work by quilters. The templates included will come in very handy.

The projects look very complicated but there are some step-by-step instructions to guide you. The beginner is taken through preparation, cutting and sewing with handy hints all along the way. Contains information on spiral shapes and drawing. More colour co-ordination in the projects would provide better quilts in my humble opinion. If you want to use spirals in your quilts, you can do no better than this comprehensive guide.

This book has excellent illustrations and endless choices of spirals. The step-by-step instructions are clear. Everything you might want to know about spiral patchwork is described. Templates are available on the accompanyig CD.
