We have about 10 of these locks in our kitchen where the cabinets have double handles and they are excellent. They've been on for over 12 months, easy to remove (for adults!) and have been perfect at keeping little hands out of the cupboards. A simple press release to open the catches mean we hardly know they are even there but neither our child or friends children have ever been able to open the cupboards, work out how to open the catch or break them (see other reviewer)!

These seem quite good on first use but the central bar is made of plastic and easily breaks. The first one lasted 2 weeks. A toddler could easily snap this off.

Ideal for occassional use
As Grandparents we have found that these clips are ideal for us as we only need our cupboards locked whilst our grandson is with us. They only take seconds to install and remove and are easy to use when access needs to be gained into the cupboards. Although made of plastic I have found them sturdy enough (I have been guilty of forgetting to remove them and have tried to open the cupboards quite forcibly), they can be easily adjusted to the distance between the handles, they close to a minimum distance of 9ml which is the minimum distance required between the handles to get a solid lock we have open bar handles and can slip the clips inside the handles to make the locks a tighter fit. Overall a cheap and quick solution to an inquisitive little boys prying fingers!
