Save your money for something better.
As an ardent user of Olays other products I was very depressed on opening the box...... a horrible, purpley coloured plastic pot was inside and it gets worse. The product itself is also a purple colour and is very highly perfumed which instantly put me off because of its synthetic smell. Unlike high end beauty creams, you need to put quite a lot of this cream on a spatula to cover your face and neck and it seems to sit on the surface and eventually 'pills' off. It most certainly does not give you a 'face-lift' as it says and I shall be reverting back to my other night cream.
Awful
I'm writing this review as a beauty therapist with over 13 years experience of working with professional skincare products, and admittedly only a small experience of high-street skincare brands. The first thing that struck me about this was how cheap the packaging looked for the cost of it; a plastic pot with stick on labels?!
On opening it, besides the awful synthetic smell that evokes memories of cheap perfumes (what my nan would call "smelling like a tart's handbag"!), is the rather peculiar purple colour of the product. These are two bugbears of mine in high-street products, cheap artificial fragrances & artificial colouring.
As to the texture of the cream, it is full of thickeners & fillers. I use a pea size of the professional skincare I use (Decleor), which more than covers my face. I had to use way over three times that amount to cover my face with this product, thus whereas my Decleor nightbalm lasts me about 8 months, I think I'd be lucky to get over a month out of this. In comparison that makes this cheaply produced high-street gunk more expensive than a professional skincare product!
It doesn't so much go into the skin as sit on it, leaving you with a weird slimey & greasey feeling, and unlike a good quality product, it leaves the hands feeling sticky afterwards. The synthetic smell also made me sneeze copiously once applied. I can't say on waking my skin felt or looked any different, and there's very few professional products I could say that about.
As to the amino-peptide complex, I'm not sure of it's concentration in this product as I have used other amino-peptide products in professional ranges with far better results. For example, I note from the ingredients that this product only contains Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, whereas a lot of the better ones also contain Palmitoyl Tetraapeptide-7, which helps to inhibit & reverse glycation damage (Matrixyl 3000 is often used for this combination of ingredients, see for example the new CACI amino-lift peptide complex, which also contains Myoxinol, DMAE, Sepicalm & SNAP-8).
All in all I would save your money & go to a reputable skincare clinic to buy a decent professional skincare product that boasts clinical in vivo testing, not "a handful of people in an office quite liked it" type testing. Although it might cost you more per pot, when you factor in the increased quality & effectiveness of the product, combined with the fact that the pot lasts you significantly longer, you will be getting far better value for money. My Rgenerist is going in the bin; it's not even good enough to use as a handcream!
Upleasant smelly purple gloop
I wasn't too impressed by this stuff. Best I can say is that it is not too greasy. However I hated the chemically perfume smell and generally found it not to be worth the money.
