Much Maligned
There are a lot of haters of this movie out there, and that is something I've never understood.
This, despite what a lot of people say, is a great and faithful adaptation of the comic. The film looks and sounds fantastic on Bluray. If you own the movie it's well worth shelling out again as it has the director's cut of the movie and all the extras from both versions of the dvd.

Loved the comic, loved the movie and I love the Bluray.

Slightly misleading box art...
The box art on amazon is slightly misleading as it comes up saying that you get the directors cut.
What comes through the post does not say this, after ad mouthing the disc all over the internet I put it in the player and what do I find? The directors cut!
I wish all involved could get their story right and maybe the box art as well!
Great film, good picture, outstanding sound.

IT IS the Directors Cut!!
Despite terrible packaging, this is the Director's Cut folks. It's a completely different film with the extra running time, suddenly the story makes sense, more depth to the characters and a far more enjoyable viewing experience. The PQ's not reference but a marked improvement over DVD and the sound's very good.
