Editorial Reviews

From the Label
"To focus on a repertoire that young people don’t know and old people have forgotten, a repertoire which has made entire generations dream all over the world". (Andrea Bocelli)

Amore is the greatest album from the greatest tenor in the world. The album includes the most romantic love songs such as "Besame Mucho", "Autumn Leaves", "Because We Believe" (as heard on the BBC exit theme music for the Turin Olympic games), "Can’t Help Falling in Love" and many more. The release of his 10th international album sees Bocelli indulge in musical romance which he shares in the incredible duet with Christina Aguilera, "It’s Impossible". A solo version of this song can also be found as an exclusive on the UK version of "Amore".

Bocelli has sung for Pope John Paul II, Pop Benedict XVI, Clinton, Bush, Blair and HRH Queen Elizabeth II. He has moved audiences across the globe with performance locations ranging from the Statue of Liberty to the Pyramids. Bocelli’s presence as an international popular and classical artist is immense.

"If God had a singing voice, it would sound like Andrea Bocelli" (Celine Dion)

CD Description
Album notes First pop album from Tuscan tenor who is one of the leading lights on the classical crossover scene. This release sees him working with king of pop production David Foster and performing alongside stars such as Christina Aguilera, Kenny G and Stevie Wonder. The songs, backed by traditional and jazz instrumentation, are pop standards in the Romance languages, some of which have also been hits in English for the likes of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.

En-amore-ating!5
I personally think this is Bocelli's best CD to be released yet. This man has a wonderful talent, similar to Charlotte Church, for his ability to carry that stunning voice across to create "pop" style music that really is more than just the normal pop music! I've been a fan of Bocelli since I stumbled across his duet with Celine Dion some time ago now. Whether you're looking for a CD to help you chill out, to keep you going whilst you're sat in work on a Monday morning, or to help you when life gets hard, this one really won't disappoint. But don't just take my word for it... pick it up now! My favourite has to be "Can't help falling in love". Brilliant!

Amore - Andrea Bocelli5
I first heard Amapola within the soundtrack to Once Upon A Time In America by Ennio Morricone and fell in love with it. This is the first time I've heard it by an artist with the lyrics.
All I can say is that if that one track doesn't blow you away, you have no heart and most definitely no soul at all. The rest of the album is soul searingly beautiful. This man has the gift of a voice that soars above you and takes you to places undreamed of. He is in a class of his own. To any lover of either the classic tenor or just to those who love romance, BUY THIS NOW!!

More Amore5
Amore indeed! This album is simply magnificent. A truly beautiful collection of sumptuous love songs performed by arguably the finest voice in the world. Having been a fan of both Andrea Bocelli’s classical and more pop orientated material I would say that this collection definitely falls into the latter category, but that is not to take anything away from it, as this really could be his finest collection to date. Produced by the excellent David Foster – who has previously worked with the likes of Michael Buble, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston – this album has a real feel of quality throughout, from production through to performance, it is impossible to find fault with Amore. The album has a very Latin feel to it, featuring some great musicianship, most notably some exquisite flamenco-style guitar playing.
As with previous albums a number of guests appear on Amore and they all really work well together. Stevie Wonder features on the track ‘Canzoni Stonate’ which sounds superb, but the guest highlight for me has to be the duet with Christina Aguilera, on a track entitled Somos Novios. Their two voices gel so well and the contrast of the male/female vocal adds a truly romantic feel to this track. It is difficult to pick favourites in an album full of classic tracks, but ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ and ‘Because We Believe’ also deserve a special mention.
A late Valentine’s day gift, a present for Mother’s Day or just a beautiful CD to add to your collection, Amore is an essential purchase. This will appeal to Bocelli fans, pop fans and old (or young!) romantics. Add some Amore to your life.
