You never thought it would turn out like this an all-out chase where you're the hunted. And the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, you will track him down. Needless to say, that fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience and every ounce of skill to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

Honestly, this is the worst nfs game I have ever owned>
A few weeks ago, I tried out Need For Speed Undercover on a PS3. It was very good and I decided to get it on my psp. I bought it for £30, got home and switched it on. As soon as I got on career mode I tried a race. It was totally boring and there was nothing new about it that I noticed apart from the fact that your heat level now goes up alarmingly fast. The graphics were about the standard of Need For Speed Hot pursuit, released around the year 2000. Not too good for a game of late 2008.
Above all, the most disapointing factor of this game is it's lack of a FREE ROAM mode. All you get is about 3 race modes, 3 pursuit modes and some other modes. That is it!
If you want a good Need for Speed game, you're better off buying most wanted for example. I strongly recommend that you get this on a console if you want it.
Excellent Need For Speed (NFS) so far!
The last NFS game that I played was Hot Pursuit and that was on the PS2. I thought that was brilliant. NFS undercover is one step up from that they have incorporated the police chase which I thing is cool. I have not played the other NFS games, but the effects in this game are cool. My only criticism is that they have not included any Ferrari's in it. Another criticism is that once you have completed all stages the game does not move on. You just end up repeating all the stages. I have only completed 91% of the game, so maybe there is more.
Same old formula
I haven't played a Need for Speed game since Underground 2 on the gamecube. And this game, despite being developed much later, has nothing improved on that, if fact i would say its far worse but given it's on a handheld console perhaps its allowed to be slightly...ok anyway
Essentially this is a plain and simple racing game, there is no free roam like on previous games, you just select which event you want.
The events include circuit (quite repetitive), sprint, checkpoint races, destroying cop cars (forgive me i forget the name of the event), and an event which generally involves crashing into as much as you can.
Initially the game feels good, just like most NFS games but once again, like the others, it becomes repetitive and samey with similar events on seemingly identical racetracks; there are only so many routes you can do on a worldmap. Also i personally hate the speedbreaker, for those of you who don't know it is where you push O and it goes into slow motion making cornering easy. This removes much of the skill, even if you can only do it so often, and in adding this it appears the cornering in normal ways has suffered significantly.
On the positive, the online i have enjoyed and in small doses it is a fun game. The mass amount of cars also is a big plus. But coming so far, you would expect the game to have evolved more than it has
