Best purchase in ages!
I can actually claim to have quite enjoyed attacking an ironing pile since buying this iron.No more struggling with hubby's cotton work shirts when they've got too dry on the line- this iron just whizzes through them.

Only sight niggle was that I had to buy a new ironing board as mine was not a mesh one suitable for these irons.

Ironing is no longer so bad
We're the sort of people who only iron things when we need them but with two young children we've had to become a little more organised. So my other half thought that this iron sounded a great idea. I thought it was a lot of money for an iron, even at half the price and it was just another one of his gadgets.
However, it's fantastic! Seriously, I have now ironed everything in the house!! Ironing is no longer a chore. If I have to criticise it, it's a bit bigger than I expected and when the generator kicks in, it's a little noisy.
However, it maybe bulky but the steam generator part of the unit can be placed on the floor as the steam lead is long enough for the iron to reach and be used on the ironing board. As for the noise the generator doesn't trigger very often and it doesn't last very long. The electric lead has a self wind system and the steam lead can be easily clipped to the unit.
It's ready to use incredibly quickly, and I was surprised that I didn't have to fill it with water that often!!
I can't believe how much I love this iron.

Detest ironing? You won't after you've used this!
I try to avoid buying items if they require a lot of ironing or if they look as if they're going to take up all my time but not now, this iron is the business - I went hunting for things to iron!! And at this price (if you're lucky enough to get it at 50% off) it's worth it. The fact that it was half price made it a great bargain but it's definitely worth the full price if you do a lot of ironing.
