About the Author
Lesley Jackson is one of Britain's foremost writers and curators specialising in 20th-century design. A regular contributor to The Independent and Crafts, she is also the author of four highly acclaimed books: The New Look: Design in the Fifties (1991), 'Contemporary' Architecture and Interiors of the 1950s (1994), The Sixties: Decade of Design Revolution (1998) and 20th Century Factory Glass (Mitchell Beazley, 2000). She is curator of the major exhibition on the Days' work to be held at the Barbican Art Gallery, London, in 2001.
