Overall Good Purchase for Price
Overall this is a good product. The battery doesn't last too long though and it doesn't come with a cable to hook up to your computer. Also you need to buy a firewire cable so if you don't have a firewire port you need to then buy a wire and adapter card from firewire to USB so that can be expensive on its own. Overall its a good product though, for its price. I think there is a more expensive version of this camera that is better but the picture quality is good as well as the sound and it was well packaged. It also got here at a decent time so I gave it 4 stars.

It does exactly as it says on the box
Value for money...yes... for a cheap camera that is great for throwing in the pocket/bag you can't go wrong... its small and light and no frills... no viewfinder so lcd display only so awkward in bright daylight... menu offers usual options as my old (more expensive) camcorder... bought as a replacement for the JVC which i dropped... needed to be able to play back my old tapes and also didnt want to spend more money changing to a different camcorder format at this moment... as I said... it does exactly as it says on the box... for a good price... get a few years out of this and its paid for itself...

Small and light, but no viewfinder, and Tele/Wide zoom control awkward
1. I'm old-fashioned - I like to shoot through a viewfinder, especially in sunlight, and the product photos on Amazon didn't make it clear that there wasn't one.
2. The hand-strap is too low on the side. When you try to zoom out/wide angle, you just push the top of the camera away from you. I found that I had to brace the camera with my other hand.
3, The clever-clever joystick menu is a faff. Nearly threw the thing across the room simply trying to set date and time.
Apart from that, I like its compact size and the black finish.
