good solid guidance
I was recommended to buy this book by Greyhound Rescue West of England, and have found it a useful introduction. It's a fairly thin book and both my husband and I read it in an hour or so.

The writing style is not polished, and the writer is sometimes a little didactic (do this, don't do that, you'll need one of these).

But if like us you are new to greyhounds, it provides a really useful grounding. I would certainly recommend it to other new greyhound owners and prospective owners, though those with more experience will probably find little new here.

A must for everyone wishing to adopt a Greyhound
Unlike many similar titles this book comprehensively covers aspects of owning a greyhound including ex-racers who have been raced in Australia, USA or Spain as well as the UK. If I had my way this would be mandatory reading for every prospective owner of ex-racers.

a good book for the basics of adopting a greyhound
I really enjoyed this book, and thought it was a good source of basic information regarding adopting a greyhound. It covered a lot of things I hadn't thought of. My only complaint is that it was too short, and didn't offer enough depth in some of the topics,it left you wanting to know more! But very worth while before you get your greyhound.
