Customer Reviews
You can't beat it!
Excellent, well-written and really funny in places. Some of the content is based on the 1991 edition I bought 10 years ago, but this is a much needed update (there are new chapters on players such as Gascoigne, Latapy and O'Boyle and classic writing about Donald Finlay). The whole book feels a lot better than the old edition. A must for Scottish football fans.
scandal seeps thru scotland and its great love - football
A very readable and lively book. The best bits try to go beyond football and analyse the psychosis of being scottish. Funny and much more intelligent than most football books.
Hysterical
I read this book in one-sitting and really enjoyed it. I was also over-awed by the excellent photos throughout. It was, in effect, a journey through the Daily Records of my youth. With even more sleaze and sensationalism! How cool is that?
