    3/4 season XL sleeping bag4
We just bought this sleeping bag for my wife who gets a bit chilly at night in the tent and found our 2 season double bag too cold for the spring camping. It is ideal for 3/4 season (early spring through late autumn).

The plus points: its well made; its a good brand; its very big 235cm long and 90cm wide so ideal if you find mummy bags too restricting; its very warm; its very good value at £26 from Amazon.

The negative points: it is big even when packed into its stuff sack; it would be too hot for most people in high summer if night temps don't drop below 10 degrees; it says you can zip 2 together to make a double but logically if you did that one of you would have the mummy hood flapping over your face, so if you want a double buy the Hudson double.

If you want a slightly cooler square bag go for the Hudson 300 (has 300g per sqM as opposed to 450g here). The 300 is a 2/3 season bag (spring to autumn).

Overall we recommend this bag, we're pleased with our purchase, the wife loves it.

the bag is massive! Ideal for someone tall, bit long for me (5'7") and wide but very comfortable and WARM! Used in May - nights were cool and heavy dew, and I didn't feel the cold at all. Quite large when in stuff sack, not ideal for backpacking, but ok if you take a car.

Coupled with the Gelert self inflating mat, I had the best nights sleep camping ever. Really cosy even on a cold night and lovely to have cotton against the skin as opposed to the polyester of many sleeping bags. A great buy!
