We all have VHS videos that are fast becoming unreadable. The life span of a VHS tape can be as little as 5 years so if you don't act soon you could lose all those precious memories. Remember that with VideoHome you can also convert your Camcorder tapes to DVD. Also included in this bundle is a FULL version of Digital Converter which allows you to burn the VHS direct to DVD so you don't have to download to your hard drive first which is a great feature. Also included is a FULL version of VideoWorks 6 which comes with fantastic suite of editing tools to allow you to edit your content before you make a DVD. To use this feature you save the VHS as a digital copy to your hard drive then open the file in VideoWorks do your editing etc and then burn the DVD. Software alone costs retail around 40 pounds so this is a fantastic bundle. Also most products like this do not come with the connection cables to connect from your VHS Player/Recorder to the PC. This can cause customers real issues which is why we provide all the cables you need in the box so you can get up and running straight away. definately worth buying5
I, like many other folk I guess, am moving out of the VHS age into digital. I have many VHS videos of important family events and needed an easy to install and operate system to transfer these memories to my PC for easy backup to DVD.
This product met the need easily. As a 61 year old, I had no problems following the directions provided and have started the massive task of conversion.
I'd recommend this unit to anyone with similar needs.

Good product to convert your videos to dvd4
I ordered this as a Birthday present for my Dad. Considering he's 65, he is thankfully quite good with modern technology since there were no instructions at all supplied with the product (!) He managed to work out what to do quite quickly and has converted lots of vhs videos to dvd already. However, he did say the basic version would have been just as good, so not sure if the deluxe version is worth the extra money?

waste of money1
I bought this on the reccommendation on the website as I needed to be able to convert video tapes to dvds to enable them to be watched away from home. Neither I nor my teenage son who has just sat Higher computing could make the programme work. The leaflet in the box told you little and the manual on the disc was equally useless. This was a waste of money and I shall need to buy a video to dvd recorder instead.
