Beautiful bible
Oh wow! This Bible just arrived today and it is utterly GORGEOUS. It is actually baby pink leather (not the colour in the pic at all) with an embossed floral pattern that is a darker pink and lower than the leather of the rest of the cover.
I haven't used it yet but it really is incredibly beautiful (and after all we know what is inside!) and would make a stunning gift.
I'm actually glad I mislaid my old brown hardback Bible now!
This is also a really good size for popping in your handbag as it is A6 size (a quarter of A4).
I am so pleased with this Bible - it is much nicer than the picture shows and I know my friends are going to coo over it as it is SO girlie!
Also, while it says Holy Bible on the spine, the front and back covers have just the pattern so it is discreet as well; perfect for reading in public if you are not ready to openly evangelise!

Top quality little Bible (this review covers some alternative options)
I looked at lots of pocket Bibles before buying this one. It's not perfect but is beautifully finished and very nice quality. Also nice and discrete in black leather and a perfect pocket size.

My 3 main criteria were:

1) Quality (this is the best I found)
2) Size (this is not quite the smallest I found but very close to it and it fits neatly in a suit jacket breast pocket without a problem, about the size and weight of a large-ish man's wallet).
3) Clarity of type (is good, fairly clear, and nicely spaced. Slightly variable in print quality with some pages being darker than others but all are readable)

This is a beautiful little bible, it can easily fit in my pocket so it will be great for me to read while going on the train to work. The text is easy to read both physically and mentally as it is translated in modern english. The cover is not impressive because it could be harder, but that doesn't matter, if you are looking for a NIV bible buy this one!
