Fast Flash
I bought this particular card as 4GB was the sweet spot for CF card prices at the time, and I already owned some 2GB (50x) Kingston Elite Pro CF cards that I was very happy with and that have never given me any problems.
I used the card straight out of the box with my Canon EOS 30D digital SLR and the card had no problems keeping up with the maximum burst rate of the camera, which is 9 continuous photos (RAW+JPEG) at up to 5fps.
Even better, when transferring a mixture of JPEG and RAW images to a PC, the card transferred its full 4GB in under four minutes, which is about 18MB/sec, and is faster than transferring the full 2GB of files from my older CF cards. This is to be expected, since this card has a 133x rating compared to the older cards' 50x rating. (Note, however, that the transfer rates will depend on the specification of the card reader that you use, so make sure that you're card reader is able to take advantage of this CF card's speed.)
In summary, a fast card : what more can you want!
Great value
I bought this card via Amazon from a third party. It arrived very quickly and whilst it was packaged in that annoying plastic coating I soon opened it up with a kitchen knife!
I have used it with a 30D very happily - performance was acceptable. Write speeds perhaps a little slow from the buffer to the card but for the price I really don't care. It was acceptable except for the most demanding.
I recently bought a 5DMKII and I get 125 shots on the card. This means I will be upgrading to 8 or 16GB. But on the 30D (8MP) I got a good 250 shots or thereabouts.
Unless you are very demanding (and I do mean that - I work professionally for weddings and model shoots and found it acceptable) it's a very reasonable card.
Great Card!
I purchased this for my Sony Alpha a350 and have had no problems with it. It produced great pictures and as a result I have purchased another card which arrived yesterday!
