Solid, useful information
Compared to other snake-keeping paperbacks I've bought which are long on pretty pictures and short on useful information, this book has plenty of both. It has been a huge help in raising my boas and getting them to breed. The book has sections at the end devoted to each type of boa, but most of the book's chapters - feeding, caging, health, etc. - while targeted at boas, are often just as useful for keeping other species of snakes. I highly recommend it for beginner and mid-level keepers.

Useful, easy to read and very informative.
As a "medium-level" herpetologist, I have recently become the proud owner of a baby boa constrictor imperator. I found this book to be exactly what I was looking for, as it contains lots of full colour pictures but also a huge amount of information, useful to both beginners with boas and slightly more experienced herpetologists.
