Patrick Moore's seditious work of art
This is undoubtedly the funniest guide book I've ever read. If you are hacked off with bureaucracy, being thrown from one department to the next, this is for you. It's quite dated, but then bureaucrats are dated creatures too and the majority of the content still has much merit. Gems such as candle wax over the "do not write in this box: for office use only", how to force bureaucrats to work at their jobs, confusing the payment system by over paying by say £1.20 then sending in a letter querying why they had demanded the extra, tips such as never use a word processor, always handwrite your letters are classics. It's pages of tips on making beaurocracy fun - just as a hobby.
