Customer Reviews

More, please, Penguin!5
I hate shopping. I fear clothes. I apply what little five-year-old make-up I own in about 10 seconds before I fly out the door. In other words, you would think that a book like this would definitely not be interesting to someone like me (however much I may need it).

Well, I LOVED it. I loved it so much I'm getting copies for all my friends. India Knight is smart, original, and very funny. I laughed out loud a hundred times (and I read this book at 6 in the morning). I also learned useful things, which I'll even put into practice, because India Knight inspires trust.

I want more. I don't care if this woman writes about plumbing or mud-wrestling or toe-nail collections, if Penguin publishes more little books like this by her, I'll read them all.

Do you hear me, Penguin? More, please! Do you hear me India Knight?

(By the way, I love this series of Penguin mini books all round, especially the mini price-tag).

A synopsis of an even better book!5
On Shopping is an introduction to India Hicks' more interesting and involved book 'The Shops'. It is perfect for dipping into when you have a spare moment. The book outlines websites for things you never knew you wanted. Keep your laptop handy as you'll be tempted to buy!buy!buy!
