Selwyn's Law of Employment, now in its fifteenth edition, is the most popular and reliable textbook on employment law available. Written by a former university lecturer with over 40 years' experience, and covering the whole spectrum of employment law from both an individual and collective standpoint, this book presents the law in a particularly articulate, authoritative, and accessible way. Thoroughly revised to take account of all the most recent changes in this ever-evolving area of law, this edition covers the latest legislative provisions, including new discrimination regulations and further coverage of TUPE and redundancy. To help reader navigation, 'key points' sections have been added at the start of each chapter, along with further sub-headings throughout the book. Providing an unbeatably wide coverage of case law and statutory materials from the UK and European courts, Selwyn is essential reading for practitioners and students of employment law, along with those studying the law in a business or professional environment, or indeed anyone involved in giving employment law advice. Online Resource Centre This book is accompanied by an Online Resource Centre, which offers reliable and regular updates to the law following publication.

Good but not great
This is a clear and relatively easy to read textbook on employment law. However it contains one major flaw which in my opinion should not have escaped the editing process. Unfortunately, although making generous reference to caselaw the author and/or publisher has decided to omit any form of citation on the page. This becomes extremely onerous after a while as one is constantly having to look to the index to check the date of the case to which the particular paragraph is referring to. Surely it would have been simple to add the date of the case next to the case name on the actual page, ensuring more of a flowing reading experience. For this reason alone I would only give the book 3 stars.
Selwyns Employment Law 15th edition
Bought this to study Employment Law. i have found it very useful and easy to read. An excellent reference book
Not so pleased
Yes i totally agree, the full case citations should have been included in the text for a better read. I purchased the book today and am not very pleased, i think Selwyn should have made the book simpler and easier to read.
I will seek another employment law book to go with this tomorrow, preferably a text, cases and materials employment law book. This will make it easier for me as i am a student and need access to materials which have detailed analysis but teach simply and quickly.
