Customer Reviews
Not the best book.
I am currently preparing for my PIRT test which is due in just over a week. This is one of the books I have been using for some time now. The problem with the book is that the tests it gives are multiple choice but some of the answers are exactly the same. For example option B and C are exactly the same answers, yet only one is correct in the books marking scheme when you come to mark your practice test. Also some correct spellings are marked as incorrect, i.e. willful and appearance are given as being wrong.
You just can't work properly with this book as you'll actually get worse given as your being told correct answers are incorrect and you then go and learn the incorrect ones.
However some aspects of the book are solid, but on the whole it's difficult to have any trust in it.
PIRT Mock Test
I found this practice paper incredibly useful in my preparation for the PIRT. Not only did it give an insight into the requirements of joining the police, but it also provided a valuable 'revision' resource. I reccomend it for anyone nearing their PIRT. A valuable asset to any hopeful police applicants.
Riddled with mistakes
If you get this book, it wil give you a huge insight into the PIRT test which will help you. Although if you practise the mock questions, be sure to revise the actual answer, as the book is riddled with mistakes, such as giving the wrong answers. Alot of the time the answers are all the same, so you cant go wrong.
So just have a computer close too double check the answers, as the book does not get them correct alot of the time. I advise you get another PIRT practise book infact.
