Product Description

Join in the fun with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends! James is a medium-sized engine. His six driving wheels are not as big as Gordon's and not as small as Thomas'. He a has fine scarlet coat and brass dome and likes to think of himself as a Really Splendid Engine. This can occasionally lead to high-falutin' ideas about sort of work suitable for such a noble creature: invariably they land James into trouble. Discover the large range of accessories to build and expand your own world of Thomas.

Manufacturer's Description
James Train
A fun accessory to complement the Thomas Motor Road and Rail system from Tomy. James is a favourite from the show, with this bright red engine featuring in many episodes throughout the years.

A plastic train which can either be pushed along track by hand or can be battery operated for great visual effect. This train also runs on any flat surface - it doesn't have to be used on track to work.

This train shows great detail and looks just like the character from the popular Thomas TV show. Add this engine to a Tomy train set or other track accessories available from Amazon to create your own Island of Sodor!

Requires 1 x C battery.

Manufacturer's recommended age 3 years +.

Box Contents

  • 1 x James Engine

    James2
Although this is a good looking engine, the battery is housed in the coal truck, and there are wires joining the coal truck to the engine. These wires soon broke with the normal play of my 3 year old, so now James can't be battery driven. We had the same problem with Henry. Now I always look for trains with the battery in the engine itself, such as Thomas or Diesel.

the wires broke within a few days1
Although my sons favourite Thomas character he was heart broken when james stopped working within a few days, this was due to the wiring between james and his coal truck snapping therefore james has to be manually moved now. for the price they charge for the engines i have found a fair few to be of poor value, ive had 3 toby engines, each one the battery connectors dont work, 2 bertie buses on both the tiny switches have snapped off and the same with a few others. considering how much parents pay i really feel we are now being ripped off with shoddy toys, and just paying for the "Thomas" brand
