My kids love it!4
I bought this for my little boy as it was heavily advertised on tv and I knew he wanted it. I also bought a couple for his pals as birthday gifts when it was on offer at the start of the year. I have to say it has been a bit hit all round. My boy finds the squirt you get very amusing and in my opinion it is an ample soaking you get. I would recommend supervising the filling up as it is a little awkward for a 5 year old but apart from that it's good fun!

Best and most fun childrens game i've played in ages, 10/10 for sure!5
Oh my God, I can't believe the negative reviews i've read on here about this game, i'm truly shocked! So I have come to the conclusion that these reviewers have obviously not read the instructions or were expecting buckets of water to be splashed on them, which is obviously never going to happen coming from an average sized board game...

So let me fill you in from somebody who has played the game and read the instructions, in all it's honesty...

My expectations of the game, was that it looked pretty fun, but was sceptical (I always am, very hard to please me!) about how much of a splash or a soaking the players would really get. And the verdict? You don't half get a good soaking! Splashy gives you a good squirt right in the face (if you're peering into his mouth) or elsewhere on your body, depending on where he's positioned him compared to yourself. The squirt is strong and long and you do get a good soaking. After playing a few games, my hair was dripping wet, as were everyone elses and we absolutely loved that, Splashys job was more then done well!

The game itself is very, very simple to play. You put Splashy the whale on the table, pour some water into the bottom of Splashys base (easily done), shut the water door and place all the Sea related items (to fish out in the game) into and under Splashys tongue. Then you switch on the 'on' switch, grab the fishing rod and take it in turns to try and retrieve a Sea related object out of Splashys mouth without touching his tongue (sometimes easily done and other times much harder), as he'll splash you otherwise! Splashy will also splash at random intervals too, and if that happens, that person misses a turn. The game continues until all the Sea related items in Splashys mouth have been retreived. The player who gets the most points (each Sea related item awards a different amount of points) wins the game.

Myself and my family absolutely love this game, we had and continue to have a good laugh playing this. I think it would be suitable for adults as well as children, and in fact my partner is taking it to a New Years party tomorrow. The game itself is made to a very high quality, works well and is worth the £15. The only thing I would have a moan about is that I think that Splashy should sit on a turn-table so that he is easier to turn around after the last person has taken their turn. Other then that, I think Splahy is excellent and would recommend him to everyone who likes a laugh with their family. Please don't let the negative reviews here put you off, buy it, keep your receipt, play it, and if you do hate it (unlikely) then you can always return it.

Splashy is great! 10/10

Very disappointed1
Very disappointed, wasn't splashy enough, no real fun to be had, wish i hadn't bought it.
