Manufacturer's Description
Pop in and play with this new Teletubbies Pop-In and Play Playset action reaction toy. The helterskelter action features all four loveable Teletubbies characters and Noo Noo, offering children hours of Home Hill fun.
Children can post their favourite Teletubby into one of three holes at the top of Home Hill and watch them wizz down the slide, ending up in one of three destinations; the bedroom, living area or outside. Other fun activities include turning a dial to make Noo Noo travel around a predetermined path as his nose moves from side to side, and there's a rotating windmill with a clicking sound. There is also a button on the custard machine, which appears empty until the button is pressed again and it magically appears full! All characters are supplied and make great take along toys when out and about. Suitable from 12 months upwards.
Customer Reviews
Ideal for younger Teletubby fans
I have a 21 month old Teletubby fan who loves this. We had intended to get her the Home on the Hill playset, but saw this and felt it was probably more age appropriate. We were right. It is sturdy and chunky - perfect for little hands who have yet to develop a sensitive touch. The wheels on the Teltubbies backs are a good idea as it allows them to whiz down the slide beautifully (unlike the Bath Island where they always get stuck or fall off half-way down). We also like the rubbery antenae. These are apparently wonderful for teething when those, hard to reach, second molars are popping through. The different shoots and slides are great fun, even for Mums and Dads. Overall, I think it's a sweet little toy - perfect for the 12 to 24 month set. No, it isn't terribly educational: although there is cause and effect there, as well as hand/ eye coordination, and some imaginative play, although this age group aren't really quite up to that just yet; but do toys always need to be about teaching our children something? Why can't, every so often, a toy just be about having fun!
One slight observation my daughter would like mentioned, there only 3 beds and 4 Tellytubbies which in her own words is an "oh dear!". We've solved the problem by allowing one of the Teletubbies to take turns sharing her 'big girl' bed each night, but there really should have been 4. It would be nice to see the manufacturers correct this.
Teletubbies pop in and play
My old year old has spent hours playing with this toy. The teletubbies are chewable (great for teething) and do actually roll down the slide as they should. With there being various holes for the telebubbies to disappear in its good for 'peakaboo', etc. It has been one toy that has been used almost everyday for nearly a year now and isn't showing any signs of wear and tear.I would highly reccommend it - well worth the money.
