Customer Reviews

Great book.5
Clear and concise. Keir Thomas has a very engaging writing style that takes you through things step by step without coming across as the complete techy he clearly is.

The review above is misleading. Ignore it. "Ampers" (cool nickname btw) obviously hasn't read the book and probably hasn't even read the description properly as the book is 400 pages long not 40.
And well worth it.

Packed with tips ... well worth the price5
Having normally just used the Internet to get tips for setting up Ubuntu Linux, I originally wondered about buying this book. Wow, it is packed with tips for topics you'd never consider looking for. My desktop environment is years ahead of where it was. The authors style of writing allows for quick dipping into to find the details for a particular tweak.

Tips galore4
A really nice book with lots of worthwhile tips. A definite buy for anyone new to Ubuntu.

One complaint, the paper quality is not that good...picky I know.
