Disappointed
As I am writing this, I'm sending mine for a return, as I did with almost every USB-Video-Capture device so far. They just don't deliver. I have a very fast machine at home and still there were several framedrops in the capture process, making the final video useless (audio completely out-of-sync by the end of the movie). The software update from Roxio made things even worse, capture was just stopping after 50 seconds.

Overall a disappointment, I'm going for the ADVC-55 Analogue to DV Converter now, which is more expensive, but I hope will work. I had enough of USB solutions that simply don't work and waste my time. I don't know how companies can get away with selling stuff like this which simply don't work.

Good but not great
This does an adequate job of converting analogue to dv with one very large fault. The quality is not good enough to watch on tv/dvd. If you just want to send clips to youtube then this is fine for you. If you want to convert vhs to dvd like it says in the title, you will be left disappointed just like I was.

I've sent mine back too and ordered the more expensive ADVC-55 Analogue to DV Converter. Hopefully it will do the job that this cannot and will not do.

In fact it should be called Roxio Easy VHS to Youtube!
